Iconic Black Women are still the Muse

This photo of a woman mimicking the Iconic Josephine Baker, Singer, Dancer and Civil Rights Activist at the gathering of mainstream elites brings about questions of inspiration as the infamous banana skirt is reimagined with yellow stiletto pumps for one Designer. As many designers are inspired by culture, it’s obvious that black women throughout history such as Josephine Baker, Dorothy Dandrige and Beverly Johnson among others have placed a thorn in our hearts with their piercing sense of style, charm and persona. That inner charisma is unrivaled today in regards to signature style that no one can claim. From an artistic and historical perspective, the vibe of such women as Josephine Baker being a muse for so many reflects the royalty within black women despite all negative stereotypes created against them. When people mimic celebrities, they mimic excellence. When they mimic the most beautiful and those bombshell personalities of self-respect and sovereignty, a self proclaimed identity of self...is that not Royalty? It may be safe to say that Iconic Black Women are still the muse for fashion, style and artistry with a never ending undertone of politics until their message is rectified as well as their style, recognized.
