Ahmose Nefertari is the chosen emblem of LUMEN CHIC PRINCESS. As long lost stories relive again through the successors of our lineage, the symbol of beauty, femininity, style, grace and power re-enters the earthly realm to channel expressions of rebirth, self reflection, adornment and destiny in the modern divine feminine. Nefertari is depicted in Ancient Afrikan history as a Divine Princess, Queen, Wife and Ruler of the 18th Dynasty of Kemet(Egypt). Her name means "beautiful companion" and was revered as The Great of Grace, God's Wife, The Hereditary Princess and The Goddess of Resurrection.

LUMEN CHIC PRINCESS is about capturing the true reflection of beautiful black women through what we wear, how we carry ourselves and how we portray ourselves. Showing honor to self, status or protection through the embellishment of clothing is an age-old cultural custom practiced to this day. LUMEN CHIC PRINCESS was founded in 2016. The name of the brand itself has a meaning. "Lumen" means Inner Light, Illuminated and represents  a goddess and virtue within. "Chic" is for fly style that is high-fashion, and "Princess" represents the lineage of ancient queens. We truly believe in awakening the inner light within the women of our society by making a statement with our presence as women. LCP focuses on the areas of quality assurance, customer service, sustainability, creativity and exclusivity to provide the best shopping experience. 

 

 

In Swahili, Binti Mfalme means “The Daughter of a King” and translates to “Princess” in English. Hadithi ya Binti Mfalme Siri means “The Story of the Hidden Princess” and is the Introduction of the concept of Lumen Chic Princess as a real life fairytale of the “Hidden Princess” which is the women of the world whose stories, traditions and identity have been hidden but never lost. Adornment, bead work, storytelling through embroidery, decoration and language has become a natural part of our design process and has since, grown as part of the Brand I.D. of LUMEN CHIC PRINCESS.
